In NYC's hip SoHo district, the SoHo Grand Hotel is one of the hot spots of the neighborhood, whether you live down the street or you're visiting from 5,000 miles away. The historical district's flagship hotel has two flagship suites: the North and South Lofts (as they are called), and they chose NYC's flagship A/V firm, Essential Communications to make them come alive.
In addition to the full-service wet bar and panoramic city views, Essential Communications added to the luxurious appointments of each 2,000 sq. ft suite with sight and sound to cover every angle. Guests feel more than at home with a 50" plasma TV w/surround sound and DVD/cable in each of the Loft's living rooms. The master bedroom sports a fully connected 42" plasma TV and Bose CD Wave radio and a 20" LCD TV in the North Suite Master bathroom. The bathrooms have music too via a remote speaker connection the BOSE CD wave radio.
"The challenge is putting this type of consumer equipment into a hotel room, where guests will only be there for a short amount of time," says David Schwartz, President of Essential Communications. "We have to make it simple and easy to use, accomplishing that stems from the gear we choose and the ability to program an easy to use all-in-one, hand held, wireless remote. It came out sounding and looking great. It's not your average hotel room, but then again, the SoHo Grand is not your average hotel."
